DWP – Training the Unemployed in 2021

Flexible Support Fund Dynamic Purchasing System 2

New £250m DWP Fund for Employability Training

The DPS2 opened for applications on 20th September 2021, and will replace the existing Provision of Work Focused Activities DPS, which was established by the DWP in 2016 to support the training of unemployed.

The programme will come with various changes, aimed at updating the current DPS and making it fit for purpose. The DWP have taken supplier feedback on board and hope that the DPS2 will help them to further engage with SME’s and VCSE organisations.

The current FSF DPS will expire on 31st October 2021 and FSF DPS2 will replace it for new call-offs from 1st November 2021.
All suppliers interested in joining FSF DPS 2 will be required to register when the DPS is launched for accreditation applications, including suppliers who are already accredited to the existing FSF DPS.

What are the Aims for FSF DPS2?

The aims for FSF DPS are to meet the needs of the Jobcentre Plus and their customers in a responsive, accessible way. The programme will fund Training Providers who can assist the unemployed on the pathway towards or into employment.

The programme will run until 2025 and support is available for both accredited and non-accredited provision across all areas of England, Scotland and Wales. Contracts of up to £499,999 will be available for priority activities including:
